baba ghanoush... japan style

I had to look up how to spell it, but no matter how you write it or pronounce it, baba ghanoush is wonderfully delicious! We're still tweaking our recipe, but our first try was pretty darn tasty. For fun, instead of parsley we decided to use Shiso, a basil-like leaf very common in Japan that we're completely obsessed with. Delish!


Shiso Baba Ghanoush
♥ 1 LARGE eggplant roasted or grilled
♥ 2 tbsp tahini
♥ 2 cloves garlic
♥ 1/4 cup shiso
♥ 1/8 cup lemon juice
♥ 1/4 tsp cumin
♥ 2 tbsp oil
♥ salt and pepper to taste

♥ blend and enjoy!
